We have received several feedback items indicating that the MetaCart feature is not intuitive at first glance. There is definitely a need to document this useful feature, so I will describe it here until there is time to update the site documentation ...

I stopped using CiteSeerX since the additional steps needed for dealing with metacart. The original citeseer allows to get an article in one click. Now, instead of moronic metacart, I go elsewhere on the web to get papers that I need. If you don't want the citeseerX to languish, kill the moronic metacart and allow the researchers to get to the papers in one click, just one the original citeseer!

Hope this helps.

      Hi,

The new CiteSeerX is awesome. I have few suggestions which would probably help to make it better.

Add a place where I can add my own notes to the papers.

Ability to view others notes. This way sometimes I don't have to read the whole paper to understand what it is about. I would like to share my notes this way.

Please provide some visual feedback letting me know that the item has been added to metacart. Right now, I am not sure if the item is added.

Also, it would be great if you can provide a big bibtex file that lists all the papers. That way I don't have to create a bibtex file for every paper i write.

Thanks,
-S-
